Had to add a few ports to my computer. Funny about the card; BIOS will see it to boot from it and install an OS. Ubuntu will boot from it and see it in the OS. But Windows will not see it in the OS until you install the driver. After that everything works great.

It was around 1,200 yen. Very cheap. Incredible. Yet, it give a lot of USB ports.

I put it into my thirteen-year-old Core 2 PC, which didn’t have USB 3 ports. This extension card has provided several USB 3 ports.

I am very happy. My old machine now runs like a new one.

I have an old system that doesn’t have any USB 3.0 ports. I added a pair of USB 3.0 ports to the front of the case and with this card was able to add power and a front panel USB 3.0 header to have a total of 4 USB 3.0 ports. The product works great. It was easy to install.

No paperwork no instructions I don’t know what’s input what’s output concerning the inside or the outside for that matter

Works plug & play for Windows 8 or newer, but Windows 7 or older needs a driver, and the card comes with none. The mfg has no website and provides no support, but no worries, search for “Renesas Electronics uPD720201” (the controller chip on the card). I found an NEC driver on Dell’s website that worked fine in Win7 x64. Later upgraded to Win10 x64 and no driver was required. No issues with the card itself, it works as advertised.

I have an old Dell Inspiron 580s system stripped and shoved into a full tower as a media center and basic home usages. USB2 is not getting the full work use out of the newer media, so, this expansion card helps quite a bit to put a bit of life back to a dinosaur of a system.

However, be aware not to expect too much from this card:

1. It does not support boot function. If you’re expecting the USB3 ports to boot off USB Drives, not going to happen.

2. It does not use the full 5 gbps, nor even at 2.5 gpbs. I use Samsung T7 Shield 1TB SSD (USB C) connection. Max read at 192 MBps, and max write at 100 MBps. It’s a lot better than the existing onboard USB2 max read at 58MBps and max write at 23MBps.

I’ve got the Aorus B550I Pro and have been looking for a solution to the lack of USB-C header for my case. I installed this in a Corsair 2000D RGB case. Worked perfect on boot and allows pass through so I don’t lose any of my ports on my motherboard.

I haven’t done any formal speed tests by any means, but my external M2 Enclosure didn’t have any issues transferring quickly over the USB-C.

Works great, detected with out issue and has fast speeds.

It allows the use of usb-c front panel to be used at 5gb speeds but it’s using usb 3 port on the motherboard which is better than not having it working

The adhesive sticks to the case housing very well I’ve not managed to rip it off yet

Only thing to note is that the usb 3 and e-type plugs are a 90 degree angle from the board so pick location with this in mind the front of the case in the psu shroud is best place and the usb cable from the board to the motherboard usb 3 plug is a good length

Works well, older bios reads it as bootable drive. I built an older system as a media pc/ and virtual server/hyper v mule (CIS student). When I added a full size GFX card to the microatx board, it pretty much made the sata ports unusable. I managed to squeeze the primary ssd connector, and the rest (3) I routed to the card. Doesn’t seem to reduce speed, 1 ssd and two older (circa 2008) mirrored 5400 laptop HDDs on it. I am able to get 100mb/s off the mirrored 5400s which I definetly won’t complain about. No speed loss on the SSD it seems (sata 3.0 mobo). No errors associated with it thus far.

Pefect for my build. The GPU anti-sag bracket was interfering with the usb headers so i rerouted them . This worked perfect and is small profile. Was able to place it in a pcie slot directly under the oversized gpu. Im happy with it so far works great out the box with Windows 11.

Card was easy to install windows picked it up right away.

It works. I bought a different one from a different company which I had to return. This one actually worked and it was much cheaper than some of the other options. The only thing is I don’t seem to be able to wake my PC from my mouse or keyboard if they are plugged into this card but that is barely an issue.

Tengo un Windows 7 instalados, luego de colocar la tarjeta en la computadora, Windows la reconoció e instaló los manejadores sin la necesidad del CD que viene incluido.

A continuación, realicé unas pruebas de transferencia con un disco duro externo con conexión USB 3.0, y pasé de una tasa de transferencia promedio de unos 22 MB (lectura / escritura) a tener 198 MB (lectura / escritura) aproximadamente.

Pienso sin lugar a dudas que es una EXCELENTE compra para aumentar la velocidad de transferencia entre mi PC y dispositivos (discos duros) externos.

I have gone though several USB Cards that failed after a short time and I finally figured out why….because I didn’t order this one!!

Easy to install, made a huge difference in speeds when connecting external USB-C SSDs. In comparison with a USB-A port, this port made file transfers 30% faster.
The USB-C ports are positioned towards the edge of the bracket, so you may have to adjust the card when tightening the screw so that both ports can be used (and not be obstructed)

Unlike the first USB PCI card I bought from a different brand, this one actually worked! Just needed a second USB 3.0 header for my front-panel IO, and with this I didn’t need any special drivers or anything, system immediately picked up on it. Also props for the slot covers being powdered coated black.

Fixed an issue I was having with another USB3 expansion card that a MB would not recognize or power. This one worked fine out of the box.

It was easy to install and works as advertised. Don’t know ow long it will last. So far so good.

I was a little wary of this extension card since some folks had trouble with the driver, but I installed in a new Aorus motherboard [GIGABYTE Z490 AORUS Elite AC (Intel LGA1200/Z490/ATX)] and it automatically installed (Windows 10 x64 Professional) on the next boot. Performance has been satisfactory, no complaints, although I have not scientifically measured. I plan to use CrystalDiskMark with a known external SSD for comparison purposes.

L’utilisation de l’USB 3.0 est de plus en plus fréquente. Comme mon PC en était dépourvu l’acquisition de cette carte a été très utile.
Le grand plus est les 2 modes de fixation de tour. Tout fonctionne pour le mieux.

Ich brauchte primär eine Alternative für den onboard-Stecker für das Front-USB meines Gehäuses. Mir ist leider ein Pin am Mainboard abgebrochen. Mit dieser kleinen Karte konnte ich das Problem super lösen, ohne gleich das ganze Mainboard tauschen zu müssen. Zudem erhält man hinten am PC noch 2 weitere USB 3.0 Anschlüsse. Wirklich gut verarbeitet.

After trying the recommended Inatek card which did not work with correctly (was recognizing everything as USB 2) I ordered this with little hope. And it worked right out of the box with the standard drivers installed by windows 10.

Easy to install, Win10 Pro found the card and installed the drivers automatically – no issues.
I took the plunge with this card as I too was having issues getting my M/B USB 3.0 sockets to work consistently with the Rift S. Now my Rift S is connected correctly each time I have booted, hopefully it will stay that way. So far so good.

Muy fácil de instalar y funciona de mil maravillas. Lo único que falta que las instrucciones sean un poco más detalladas de acuerdo al cableado, debido que a primera vista se puede prestar a confusión. Para los que no saben el cable y suministrado es para conectar a la salida de de energía que tengas libre o de algún disco duro en caso tal. Por lo demás excelente trabaja muy bien ya lo probé con todos los USB funcionando a la ves y sin ningún problema

Just received and installed this evening. Windows 10 installed drivers all on its own, altho I still used the mini-disc in case there was some special feature included…. Waiting for the extra 20-pin front of case dual port drive blank….
